Ever wondered why Sun(star) is a huge fireball and not a huge planet?
Actually, it's the mass per unit volume (density) of a planet that decides if a planet stays a planet or turns into a star. There exists a huge number of different kinds of stars but today we won't be talking about it. In fact, we will be more focusing on why stars are so different from the planets? You will be thrilled to know how similar the two are. If the density of the planet Earth were to increase by some mechanism then at one point or another Earth would end up turning into a star.

But the crushing of all Fe atoms created every second, at the center (core) of Sun, leads to radiations and radiation leads to loss of atoms and thus the mass of Sun and thus decline in the gravitational force and thus relatively relaxation at the crushing of Fe atoms at the core.
Since the lighter elements combine to form heavier elements, the volume of Sun increases and thus again the gravitational force decreases in the process.
